Photo right: Oregon state record Smallmouth Bass (7 pounds 14 ounces)
was taken from Hennery Hagg Lake, located in Forest Grove, Oregon on October
8, 2000.
The Oregon record Largemouth Bass (11 pounds 9.6 ounces) was caught from a
farm pond near Butte Falls, Oregon.
Wildlife Fishing Adventures has participated in several bass tournaments
at Hagg and Ten Mile Lakes, both prime locations for big bass. We know these
waters, and its bass hangouts, well.
The Willamette River, from its mouth at Portland, to the sloughs and back
waters near Salem, have always been productive areas for smallmouth bass. The
Columbia River also provides many opportunities to cross wits with river
smallmouths. Wildlife Fishing Adventures can provide you with the knowledge
needed to catch fish from these productive areas while you enjoy a fun and
exciting day on the water.

The majority of these fish will weigh from one and-a-half to two pounds each,
are very feisty, and have indeed proven to be a worthy adversary for local anglers. River bass
know how to use the rivers current to their advantage, therefore their fight
will many times rival that of a much larger lake bass.
